New photos for Seattle Met Mag are up showing off Skillet on Capitol Hill. Â This was a fun one, the vibe and decor are very 50’s diner…but updated with a certain Capitol Hill twist. Â Skillet started out in a roving Airstream trailer and had developed quite a following around their food, especially their bacon jam (yes bacon jam – check out their website to learn more), and now have set roots down on the corner of 14th and Union giving the huge crowds a permanent place to find their updated diner favorites. Â It was packed when I was there on a Thursday afternoon, which made shooting challenging but fun. Â I didn’t get to sample the food, but it photographed wonderfully! Â A friendly diner at the counter offered a nibble of the poutine (good but not the greatest I’ve had), but I would be curious to try some of the staples that they’re known for. Â Enjoy!
